Affiliate Disclosure
MakeMeSane may use affiliate links. When you click a labeled affiliate link on our site and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This page explains how that works.
What Affiliate Links Are
An affiliate link is a URL that contains a tracking identifier. When you use it to visit a retailer or service and complete a qualifying action (purchase, subscription, trial signup), the affiliate program pays us a referral fee. MakeMeSane does not charge you a separate referral fee. Available offers and prices can differ by region, account, and purchase route.
What Commissions Do Not Influence
Commission rates and affiliate program status never affect:
- Whether a product is included in a comparison or review
- How a product is ranked or scored
- The conclusions of any comparison or "best of" article
- Which products receive favorable or unfavorable coverage
Commission rates are excluded from product evaluations. Products without affiliate relationships are reviewed using the same methodology and can receive the same recommendations.
How We Label Affiliate Links
When affiliate links are added, we identify them near the link and include a page disclosure. Commercial links must be marked as sponsored. The current comparison drafts link to official sources and do not include affiliate purchase links.
Program Selection
We consider programs based on relevance to our readers. Naming a product in a comparison does not imply a partnership or program approval.
